B&G IDST-820 Smart™ Multisensor P617V

With Plastic Housing

The new DST-820 Smart Sensor featuring depth, speed, temperature, and heel and trim data—is fully compliant with the UK’s Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Act. The DST-820 debut is one of the first transducers in the recreational marine market that meets the PSTI compliance requirements and sets a new standard for excellence and security in marine technology.

Additionally, the new DST-820 features improved power efficiency, with an NMEA 2000 Load Equivalency Number (LEN) of 2, compared to 3 in previous models. It remains fully compatible with existing thru-hull fittings, allowing for an easy upgrade path. It is important to note that in terms of firmware, there does not exist backward compatibility between the existing DST-810 and DST-820.

Key Features

• The DST-820 Is fully compliant with UK PSTI security standards, ensuring that the connection between DST-820 and a mobile device is secure.
• The industry’s best speed paddlewheel – DST-820 features the Gen2 paddlewheel for industry-leading speed performance from 0.3 knots to 45 knots.
• Smoother Speed – 5.7 Hz speed output (5X per second) for visibly smoother speed-through-water reporting and faster data for better decision making when every second counts.
• Integrated Attitude Sensor – For heel and trim and used in advanced speed calibration.
• DST-820 secure Bluetooth® connectivity to Airmar’s CAST app provides the ability to:
• Calibrate the DST-820 in a simple, intuitive way from your mobile device.
• Conduct basic and advanced heel-compensated speed calibrations for improved speed-through-water outputs across the speed range.
• Advanced speed calibration allows for manual speed entries for multiple heel angles and up to 10 speeds, formerly only possible through expensive PC software.
